Information from the publicly available online database, maintained by Lloyd’s MIU, shows 16 port visits by three IUU-listed vessels to two ports in Colombia (Cartagena and Buenaventura). 13 of the 14 port visits to Cartagena, were by a fishing vessel listed on the IATTC IUU vessel list, the Marta Lucia R, which according to Lloyd’s Register – Fairplay (Sea-web) and Lloyd’s MIU is flagged to Colombia. The remaining three visits were by a reefer, the Thorgull (two visits), which was IUU-listed by NEAFC/NAFO at the time of the port visit, and the F/V No. 16 Shin Yeou (one visit), a fishing vessel on ICCAT’s IUU vessel list. Six of the 16 port visits are considered to be potential violations of IATTC port State measures; the other ten visits are considered as non-violations. Colombia is a CP to IATTC.
