Information from the publicly available online database maintained by Lloyd’s MIU shows nine port visits by five IUU-listed vessels to three Moroccan ports (Agadir, Casablanca, and an unknown port). The recorded vessels are three reefers: the Polestar, Sunny Jane and Cefey (see Vessel Profiles). At the time of the visit, the Polestar was found on the NEAFC/NAFO IUU vessel lists and the other two reefers on the NEAFC IUU vessel list. Two fishing vessels, the Comet and the Rex, were both on CCAMLR’s IUU vessel list. The port visits occurred between June 2005 and July 2007. One port visit was followed by a port State action and the other eight are considered as non-violations. Morocco is a CP to ICCAT and GFCM.
