Information from the publicly available online databases maintained by Lloyd’s Register – Fairplay (Sea-web), Lloyd’s MIU and shipspotting.com shows nine port visits by five IUU-listed vessels to three ports in The Netherlands (Ijmuiden, Eemshaven and Rotterdam) and to one port in the Dutch overseas territory Aruba. All but one vessel (the Typhoon on the CCAMLR IUU vessel list) visiting The Netherlands were reefers on the NEAFC IUU vessel list. All four documented visits to Aruba were by the fishing vessel Athena F (see Vessel Profiles), which was on the WCPFC IUU vessel list. The vessels visited the ports between April 2005 and April 2008. One port visit is considered as violation of CCAMLR port State measures, one as violation of NEAFC port State measures, two other visits are considered to be potential violations of NEAFC measures, and four port visits to Aruba are considered as non-violations. The Netherlands is a CP to CCAMLR, ICCAT, IOTC, NEAFC, NAFO, SEAFO, WCPFC and GFCM and a Cooperating Non-CP to CCSBT and IATTC by virtue of the EU membership of these bodies.
