Information from the publicly available online database Lloyd’s MIU and port logs shows four port visits by two NAFO/NEAFC IUU-listed vessels to three ports in the UK Overseas Territories of Stanley Harbour and Port William on the Falklands Islands and the Port of Gibraltar. The Port of Gibraltar recorded two visits by a vessel called Enxembre, it is unclear if this was two visits by one vessel or one visit by two different vessels as they are recorded as having different IMO numbers but a similar name. The Enxembre was on the NEAFC/NAFO IUU vessel lists. The vessel, or vessels, landed fish during both visits. The two ports in the Falklands Islands were visited by the reefer Thorgull while it was on NEAFC/NAFO IUU vessel lists. All four visits took place between April and August 2007, and are considered as non-violations of any port State measures. The UK is a CP to CCAMLR, ICCAT, IOTC, NEAFC, NAFO, SEAFO, WCPFC and GFCM and a Cooperating Non-CP to CCSBT and IATTC by virtue of the EU membership of these bodes. The UK overseas territories are not automatically members to RFMOs by virtue of the EU membership due to the fact that they are part of the EU. As a result, the UK advised that it is a CP to CCAMLR in its own right, representing the Falkland Islands; the British Indian Ocean Territory is a CP to IOTC in its own right; and Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, St. Helena and Turks and the Caicos Islands are all CPs to ICCAT in their own right. Gibraltar is not a CP of any RFMO.
